Committee on the Rights of the Child issues recommendations to Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Mauritius and Oman
At its 92nd session in January-February 2023, the Committee on the Rights of the Child issued recommendations and observations on the prohibition and elimination of corporal punishment of children to Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Mauritius and Oman.

Note:
Bolivia and Mauritius have both achieved full prohibition of corporal punishment, respectively in 2014 and 2022. The Committee on the Rights of the Child recommended that both States establish “protocols and procedures to take action when corporal punishment takes place” and enhance awareness-raising campaigns for parents and professionals working with and for children.
