The global newsletter provides a round-up of news and developments on corporal punishment from around the world. In this edition, the Global Initiative reports on European rulings compelling Ireland, Slovenia, Belgium and the Czech Republic to prohibit all corporal punishment, progress and positive steps towards prohibition in seven states and worrying backward steps in Singapore and the Solomon Islands. It also includes five new advocacy resources from the Global Initiative and updates from the UN human rights system, including recommendations to prohibit all corporal punishment of children made to 13 states.
