The global newsletter provides a round-up of news and developments on corporal punishment from around the world. In this edition, we report on Mongolia’s recent law reform to prohibit all corporal punishment, the High Level Intergovernmental Conference “Towards Childhoods free from Corporal Punishment”, a new global campaign, and positive steps towards prohibition from 14 states around the world. We present new resources from the Global Initiative and others to support advocacy to end corporal punishment, including our new interactive global map, and provide updates from the UN human rights system, including new recommendations to states to prohibit all corporal punishment of children.
