The Global Initiative is seeking a talented communications consultant for a six-month period:

• Location: Vauxhall, London and some home working
• Contract: 1 Oct 2018 – 31 March 2019 (some flexibility)
• Daily rate: £160 per day, 2-3 days per week (negotiable)
• Start date: 1 October 2018

Are you an excellent communicator, with good digital and supporter care skills, who is committed to ending violence against children? Can you help us expand our global network and further develop our online presence and digital resources to better serve our partners and target audiences?

The Global Initiative is looking for a Communications professional to join our small dedicated team in London, to work with us for six months (with the potential for extension) to move our communications in to a new phase. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and creative individual who is passionate about children’s rights and, in particular, our vision to end legalised violence against children through universal prohibition and elimination of all corporal punishment – the most common form of violence against children worldwide.

You will manage our media and maintain all external communications, including the production of a number of our global resources, and will play a key role in developing the Global Initiative’s communications strategy for the next three years – in particular, you will help us find ways to use creative digital communication and campaigns to build on our network of national, regional and international organisations that support universal prohibition of corporal punishment.
