We are recruiting: Development Manager

The Global Initiative is changing rapidly! We have worked for 17 years to secure support for our mission – to end violence against children through the universal prohibition and elimination of all corporal punishment, the most pervasive and accepted form of violence against children. Since the UN published the global study on violence in 2006, and agreed the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015, we have seen a shift in the acceptance of the need to tackle this abuse.

Now our challenge is to meet the demand for our advice and expertise, such as our workshops and guidance publications, and to secure a transformation in the number of governments who have committed to reform laws to prohibit corporal punishment

We need a creative and dedicated Development Manager who can help us use this expertise to become a fully sustainable and influential organisation. You will be joining our small enthusiastic team in London to work with us for an initial contract of 12 months (with the potential for extension) to move our income generation in to a new phase. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual who is passionate about children’s rights and, in particular, our vision to end legalised violence against children through universal prohibition of all corporal punishment.
