Committee Against Torture issues recommendations to Australia, Somalia and Uganda
At its 75th session in October- November 2022, the Committee Against Torture issued recommendations and observations on the prohibition and elimination of corporal punishment of children to Australia, Somalia and Uganda.

Note:
In May 2022, during the 90th session of the Committee on the Rights of the Child, the Government of Somalia confirmed that its Child Rights Bill includes provisions which aim to prohibit corporal punishment in all settings, including in the home. The Child Rights Bill is currently under review.
